Activity Report 1997-
Present
The Turkish - Armenian Business Development
Council (TABDC) co-established on May 3, 1997, created the
first and only official link between the public and private
sectors in each of the two countries’ communities.
TABDC acts as an intermediary vehicle to further
promote and facilitate close cooperation between the business
circles of the two countries. The Council’s goal is
to help Armenian and Turkish companies streamline their operations
and their lines of communication.
Our aim is not only to establish direct trade
and business links in various sectors (TABDC is currently
involved in 70% of all Armenian / Turkish transactions), but
also to support the border opening and the establishment of
interstate relations between Armenia and Turkey by maintaining
close ties between both governments. These close ties will
help both countries forge strong global economic policies.
TABDC played a very crucial and leading role
in the supply of earthquake aid from Armenia to Turkey.
The creation of business links is a way of contributing
to the development of both Armenia and Turkey and of building
cooperative and constructive relationships between the two
populations. Furthermore, the opening of lines of communication
and the fostering of all kind of human interaction will help
to initiate the process that will contribute to solve problems
and handle the most sensitive issues.
TABDC Organization
Our worldwide organization is based on the
search for the strengthening of business links and interactions
between Armenia, Central, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia,
and the Armenian Diaspora in order to secure the flow of trade
business information. Our aim is to mobilize the Armenian
Diaspora in the interest of both Armenia and Turkey.
